Pause

I'm taking a time out from posting today. Busy morning and then I'm off to Opening Day for the afternoon. Go Cards! I'll be back tomorrow with something super, over the moon exciting I'm quite sure (I'm just not sure what the super exciting thing is just yet, but the day is young and so are we!). Happy Thursday! I hope everyone has a great day! Dear Blogger, Apparently the paragraph spacing issue was fixed yesterday, but yet again I am posting one super long paragraph today. This is really getting annoying.

Finally, It's Happened To Me

This past two mornings I have been lucky enough to see Mia before heading into work. I have had meetings and have been able to leave the house a little later than normal. On your normal, average, every day, I leave before Mia and Hubby are both even up. This has made my past two mornings and it really makes me think back on the time when Mia was eating every 4-6 hours and I would have to feed her before leaving for work. It seems so long ago that I would have to get up an extra 30 minutes early to be sure I had enough time to feed her and get myself out the door on the time. It was part of the working mommy balance that I am just starting to feel like I have figured out. Fast forward and now she is days shy of turning 17 months and still sleeping 12 hours+ a night. I no longer have to feed her before I leave. She now gets up with Daddy and he takes care of the morning routine.
Well...getting to the point finally....she has really been into what I have been doing these past two mornings in the bathroom. She has be watching me very intensely while I've been putting on my make-up, drying my hair, curling my hair, trying to figure out just what the heck I am doing to myself.
Now I have tried this once before and they only lasted about 0.8 seconds before she ripped them out. This morning however posed a better opportunity to try it again. So I propped her up on the sink and went to town.
And this is how it turned out (mind you this is from my phone and it's really difficult to get her to stop moving ever for a picture):
Cute huh? You should have seen her checking herself out in the mirror when I was done. She definitely knows who's #1 in our house.
Oh and PS - I checked in with Hubby, who has her all day today, and as of 11:51 am, they were still in tact. Yay! I've been looking forward to the pig tail period and it finally appears that it has happened to me.

And Now You May Return To Your Regularly Scheduled Programming

General consensus, Monday night TV is awful. However I have found a new, quirky comedy that I am growing to like, Mad Love. It's a conglomeration of people from "other" shows, including that one girl from Scrubs (never watched it), the guy from American Pie (of course I've watched it, probably one too many times) and that other guy from the superhero type show that I can't remember the name of (watched it once or twice cause my hubby liked it). What is it with guys and superheroes by the way? Typically my Mondays nights include DVR catch up from the previous week (i.e. just watched Idol results show from last week last night and PS, Casey was waaaaaaay too over dramatic after he was saved). My other favs currently: Tuesday night - I'm not sure what I watch on Tuesday nights. Wednesday night - MODERN FAMILY. If this show does not make you laugh, you are not human and American Idol, of course. Thursday night - Good TV night. The Office, Community, Parks and Rec. and Idol Results show! Friday night - normally 20/20 and Dateline - how cool am I? Saturday night - SNL - most of the time this gets recorded and we watch Sunday because we're "busy" (aka indulging in cocktails and talking up a storm) Saturday night. Sunday - CBS Sunday Morning (again, the coolness is overwhelming) and Bob's Burgers is one of my new favs. I'm not a huge fan of the cartoon line up that has taken over Fox on Sunday nights, but this one, as inappropriate as it is, makes me giggle. American Dad and Family Guy aren't bad either, but it took me a while to warm up to those. Other shows I watch, but I couldn't tell you when they are on because they are DVRed. Hubby wouldn't be caught dead watching them and my couch time is limited these days thankful in part to a certain blond haired, blue eyed girl and my need for sleep: American Pickers, Pawn Stars, Bethenny Ever After (I heart her), Real Housewives of OC, Real World, and Jersey Shore (yep, I watch it and I LOVE it). I'm pretty sure my Dad took a large gasping breath when he figured out that I was watching the kids from Seaside Heights and all the happenings at the Shore Store. I love drama, healthy or not. Can't help it. I am reality TV's best customer :) Others that I watch periodically, but don't have set to record: Kardashians (why, I'm not sure, they interest me, I'm just not sure what they do to make all that money), Teen Mom, 16 and Pregnant, House Hunters, House Hunters International (the show makes me drool and often hubby and I have a major game plan after it's over), most anything on Bravo or HGTV, oh and Ellen. She and I became fast buds when I was on maternity leave, but I don't get to watch much anymore. Anything on renovating...I'm really becoming obsessed with kitchens. I used to watch America's Next Top Model, but I just can't handle Tyra Banks anymore. She's super annoying and could not be any more full of herself, oh wait, that's Oprah. I can't really watch her either. I'm sure I'm missing more. So what are you watching? What do you love? I'm always open to trying out something new. Oh and PS, we don't have movie channels - HBO, Showtime (I miss Weeds) or anything else. We just don't have time to watch movies anymore, but on occasion will have movie night on a Friday or Saturday night. Suggest away if you've seen a good one lately. Thank you Red Box (we cancelled Netflix about a year after we had Mia and realized there was no longer time for movies on the regular). What are you watching? Any great recommendations? Thanks to The Stroller Ballet for tweeting the comment about Monday night TV last night and sparking the idea for this topic. Love when that happens and you should follow her blog! It's one of my new favs! Again, no spacing or paragraph separation. Nothing like having to read one, reeeeeaaaaaalllly long paragraph. Sorry. Blogger is really cramping my style so far this week. Any suggestions from other folks that use Blogger would be appreciated.

Somersaults and Such

My kid is amazing, that we already knew, but a gymnast...didn't see that one coming. She is bred from two tall people, so I never really thought tumbling would be her calling. It just so happens within the past few days she has started doing somersaults on her own. She and I "wrastle" almost every night after dinner. It's fun, we laugh and smile...a lot! She does a lot of flips, with my assistance and normally backwards. She loves to be upside down. For some time she has been doing the downward facing dog yoga pose and holding it, just chillin' with her forehead on the floor. It's cute, adorable actually. Well from here, she decided to go for it and did a forward somersault. Now she is rolling all over the family room and playroom. I'm trying not to be nervous as she gets too close to the brick fireplace or the corner of the wall. She appears fearless and I've always told my hubby that she will grow up to be into Xtreme Sports, ride a dirt bike, or something crazy that will age me quickly. She's been climbing and jumping off (ok not quite, but close) furniture for a long time. So far, so good. I'm not a nervous Mom. I don't want a cry baby or a Shy Sally. Her Daddy and I are both pretty outgoing people and I want her to be the same. It's ok to bump into walls and furniture every once and a while. I'm not going to put padding up in my house. She'll learn, she's no dumbie! I keep an eye on her. I am her Mom and it's part of the job description. My favorite activity of hers, that I try not to watch, is in the evening as we near night night time and she decides to start running through the house with her blankie over her head. She laughs at herself as she bumps off of the walls, the furniture, the dogs, me, Daddy. I keep saying, "one of these days." And Mia, it's ok...if a gymnast is your calling then we'll support you 150%. I will forever hope that you will play volleyball like Mommy, but if you don't I won't love you any less. No matter what, you're Daddy and I will be by your side as you determine your aspirations and your dreams (just please don't let them involve multiple bizarre piercings). Dr. C says you're the size of a 2 year old, so at this pace, you may just be the first Olympic gymnast that is 6 feet tall. Sorry for the lack of spacing and no paragraph separation, for some reason Blogger is not letting me do it.

1, 2, 3, 4 Ready to Get My Booty Out The Door

I don't know who pooped in Mother Nature's Cheerios, but this is getting ridiculous. She is clearly very upset about something. Wednesday it was warm, sunny and springy and by Thursday I was back in a sweater and coat. Today I woke up to a snow, rain, sleet thingy going on outside my window and now they are calling for 2-5 inches of snow tomorrow.
I really don't like coats. They make me claustrophobic and I feel like I can't breathe, especially if I am wearing a sweater.
Also, I am excited and ready to see Mia in some of her springy outfits that show off those super cute chubby legs and her bitty elbows that are oh so adorable.
It's Friday. It's cold. It's not currently precipitating any form of moisture, but the skies are grey. I'm done with this week. I'm mentally exhausted from my work week and I'm ready for the weekend. Some time with my daughter, my family and rest.
I'm looking forward to the spring and summer and all that is to come with these fun filled months. I'm very ready for it to make it's permanent appearance her in the Lou.
Next week this:

Opening Day....an unofficial holiday in this city!

In 12 weeks and 5 days (not counting or anything) this:

What are you looking forward to this spring/summer? Have a GREAT weekend!

Dear Mia,

Mommy is sorry that there are not more hours in a day to spend with you. I just want you to know that I love you. Lately I have felt like I get home from work, feed you and then put you to bed. That time between leaving work and your bedtime goes so quickly and I feel like that time is getting shorter and shorter. We try to squeeze in 15-30 minutes of play time, but it doesn't always happen whether it's because you are too tired and cranky or Mommy is too tired and cranky. I will try to be better, I promise. You are amazing and there is nothing better than that time at the end of the day, after dinner, when all you want to do is sit on my lap. Whether its for 0.2 seconds or 15 minutes, I love every second of it that I can get. I love when you sing with Dora and Diego. I love when you carry your baby around. I love when you play chase with Daddy. I love when you dance and do circles and say "Wheeeeee." I love when you count and sing the ABC's as best you can. I love when you giggle and clap after every time I sing the ABC's to you. I love when you say milk. I love when you try to give the dogs hugs. I love when you look at me straight in the face and poke me in the eye and say "eye." I love when you express your like for food with "Mmmmmmmm." I love our Saturday alone time. You know how much I love your Daddy, but sometimes it's nice when he has to work and we have the whole house to ourselves. It makes up for the time I feel like I miss during the week. I love when you say shoe and try on me and Daddy's shoes and try to walk around. It cracks me up. I love going on walks with you, especially on sunny days when you want to wear your sunglasses. I love singing Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes with you. I love our bedtime routine and I especially love reading and rocking with you before bed time when you are curled up with your blankies and Gerr Gerr. I love that you have started picking out your own books before bedtime. I love that you enjoy being tucked in as snug as a bug in a rug and I love that little giggle you let out after I tuck you in and before I walk out of your room for the night. Thank you for being such a special part of my life. I've said it before and I'll say it a million more, I still could never imagine my life without you. I love you more and more every single day. Love, Mommy

Weekend Update

After being attacked by the flu bug last Friday morning, I am back to business today. I started feeling much better Saturday afternoon and even more so yesterday. Thank you to our beautiful, sunny warm Sunday, I spent the afternoon outside on the deck painting a shelf for Mia's room and getting a "tan," multi-tasker am I (this is an old wood shelf that has been sitting in our basement since we moved into the new house and the paint and primer was purchased weeeeeeeelllllll...six months ago, anyway, better late than never). It was such a warm day I could have stayed outside for all afternoon. It was so warm I changed Mia into short sleeves and shorts after her nap. Her little chubby legs made the rest of my day. I could stare at them for hours, weird I know. At about comment number 5, hubby called me out for being weird. After all the painting fun, I decided we definitely needed to grill. Just as I put the hamburgers and zucchini on the grill I got pooped on by a bird. However, I did hear that is a sign of good luck, so I will take it for what it is and be thankful it was on my tank top and not my head. Thank you little birdie...I guess (is it appropriate to ever thank anyone/thing for pooping on you?). Hubs was down yesterday with the same bug, but it appeared to have left the building by last night. Here's to anti-bacterial spray and wipes and praying very much that lil' Mia doesn't get it. Also, very important to note, Mia and I stepped out of the house for wee bit on Saturday afternoon for a quick trip to Bath & Body Works and Target! Retail therapy can always take care of the ickys. It was productive time out of the house. I noted some very proud parenting moments including teaching her how to say Target. She got her first doll who has she been carrying around as her baby and constantly checking to make sure she doesn't have a "poopy." "Momma, no poopy!" Happy Spring! Have a great week!

Irish Blessing from Me to You

As I sit in my office working away (not at this exact, very moment obviously) on this beautiful (sunny, mid 70's) St. Patrick's Day trying to ignore the constant tweets and FB posts about what fun everyone is having outside, I take this moment to send a special Irish blessing to all of you.
May you have:
A world of wishes at your command
God and his angels close at hand
Friends and family their love impart,
And Irish blessings in your heart.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
PS - I'm really thirsty!

Nail Polish and Me

I have a serious addiction to products as I have covered once before, but even more so with nail polish. It is very, very serious. My poor hubby, I am pretty sure he had a small heart attack when the bin was first discovered once he added up the amount of money that was sitting in that bin. Cheaper than weekly manis...that is for sure!
My bin of polish consists of at least 50 different bottles of nail polish, and I'm a brand snob when it comes to my polish. Everything is primarily OPI, but a few others mixed in as well. I have colors for all times of year, colors reserved just for my toes, just for work, just for the weekends, you know what I'm sayin.' I like fun, bright, light, dark, it doesn't matter. Some of my favorites include Lincoln Park After Dark (awesome on the toes),Tinsel Town Taupe (this is now a retired color...small tear) and OPI Red (staple red). Last year, I bought a great purple from the Shrek collection. So fun! I always thought it would be really fun to work for OPI and create the names for the nail polish. I am also very particular about my top coat (Seche Vite only) and base coat (Stickey base coat by CND). Funny story, as my sister is just as particular about this subject as me, her daughter (she's 5) was very concerned the other day when she was going to paint her nails that she was not putting down Stickey base coat first. ha!
So they have come out with a new product and I'm curious to try it. It's called Black Shatter. It crackles when it dries and they recommend wearing a bright color or fun glittery color underneath. Here's a picture I pulled off the web to give you an idea:
I'm thinking this will be a fun experiment on our next vacay, not something I can wear on my fingernails at work. I tried to purchase a few weeks back but they were only selling it as a set and green was the color they had it paired with. Um, no thanks.
Have you tried it?
What are some of your favorite colors?
Next up, quick dry nail polish by Sally Hansen (I know I can't believe it either, but it's conveniently at Target and Walmart and I frequent those stores much more than my product haven, however not much less expensive than OPI). It's all in one tube, the paint and brush, no lid and less chance of spillage. I bought some a while back and have still yet to try it. I'm thinking this will be a great option for Miss Mia who I know is just dying to have her toes painted :) Also, they have come out with polish with small and narrow tipped brushes for doing designs, etc. How fun, especially for little girls! Looking forward to the summer and fun girly nail time with Mia and my nieces!

Fun Times in a Saloon

Road trip! Who doesn't love a good ole' fashioned road trip? Saturday night was so much fun! It was me, my oldest sister, my BIL, their neighbor and his friend. Besides the fact that I was sans hubby due to work commitments (boo!), we had an awesome time.
We headed west towards Columbia for a little food and some honky tonk. My sister and BIL's neighbor is the cousin of this up and comer in the country biz.
First up - CJ's - Cold Beer and Hot Wings. Now this is my kind of place (except I had vodka instead)! I spent many hours in this restaurant back in my college days and it had been several years since I had been back there. The decor alone was fabulous - light fixtures circa 1980's with missing light bulbs, pleather booths with duct tape covering the rips, metal chairs with a faint resemblance of a cushion for the seat and puzzles framed on the wall. Aaaaahhhh, a bar in a college town! The smell of age, beer and lingering cigarette smoke with a hint of wing sauce! Yep! Super great! Call me crazy, but I felt like a crazy college kid again!
Next up - locate the Snorty Horse Saloon! The name alone could not get any better.
We pull up and park next to the tour bus, why....why not? We're cool since we kinda know the guy. Knock, knock on the tour bus door...he's sleeping. It's only 7:30. Remember - we're in a college town, nothing happens until at least 10. So inside we go for something to do until the concert started...in 3 hours. Sigh. I found the mechanical bull (it didn't take long for me to find it) and signed up to win an autographed acoustic guitar. Luckily for everyone else, the bull is no longer a functioning part of the bar due to insurance claims. Damn. I did get a picture on it though. See:
So quarters, it is...and a quick 3 hours it was. We did get some one on one visit time on the tour bus. See evidence below: Pretty awesome I might add and the concert was great! I danced all night!
What a night we had and what a headache we had the next morning!
Whether you are a country fan or not, you should check him out. He is fantastic and in my opinion, a true God gifted talent.

or follow him on Twitter (haha!) @bretteldredge
He may be coming to a town near you!

T is for Twitter (and Thursday, Coincidence?)

TallBlondeBlog is now on Twitter (@TallBlondeBlog). I've tried Twitter once before and just couldn't get into it. I wanted to try again because I've heard great things about it. It hasn't even been 24 hours and I'm loving it.Do you tweet? If so, follow me won't you? I promise to follow back.
However, I need a tutorial session from my hubby.
Fun thing about twittering (this is how I refer to it to my hubby, bebe are you twittering? I'm hilarious, I know, but seriously it's tweeting right?) and blogging is connecting with so many other people (primarily women, many of them married and married with children) that I would have otherwise never known. It's just a really cool thing and I'm really enjoying it.
I'm excited about meeting up with a high school buddy next week over lunch to talk all things blogging. If you don't already follow her, you should check her out. She's realistic and so funny. I love her perspective on some many things, especially parenting and motherhood.
Happy Thursday! One more day until the weekend. You can do it, yes you can!

Wordless Wednesday - Piggies

I know, I can hardly take it either. How can she have this much hair already?
PS - Have you noticed my Wordless Wednesdays are rarely wordless. That's a difficult thing to ask myself to do. PSS - Sorry the picture quality is not that great. This was shot from my phone.

And Today's Forecast Calls For

Rain, rain and more rain. Icky, yucky, gray skies crying all over our city. Bummer. I don't like rainy days. They make me tired and hungry and that's it. They attack my motivation, drive and attitude (not to mention my two hour webinar I'm getting ready to sit through does not help, let me hold back my excitement on this one, I don't want to overwhelm you on a Tuesday). It is one thing if I am home with nothing better to do but stay in my jammies and play with my daughter all day, but it is quite another when I have to be at work. I can't believe Mother Nature isn't more conscious of my schedule. Geez.
So with that I give you a few things they may help you forget about the gray skies and focus on much happier and more positive things:
Item #1: The sun - the major item lacking from my day.
Item #2: Big Bird - he's (is Big Bird male or female?) always made me happy. This was a nickname I carried all through high school based on my height and blond hair.
Item #3: Funny images you find when googling other images but get distracted, such as this Item #4: The beach and thoughts of a warm, sunny afternoon basking in the sun staring at your feet and the ocean. Item #5: A fruity cocktail or other fun beverage that you enjoy, preferably while basking in the sun on the beach
Item #6: And how could I not include this little monkey. She brightens my day every single day and always makes me smile! Thanks Cakes (nickname #104 for Mia). Don't ask.

Yellow Polka Dot Bikini

Here's the deal. I'm trying to lose 20 pounds. Why you ask? Well, two reasons. One - pregnancy. Two - bikini. I eat pretty well. We're not fast food eaters. We cook almost all of our meals from scratch, at home. It's safer that way. My hubby and I both believe in knowing what goes into our food as best we can. Let's be honest, I have my moments of weakness, but hello, I'm human (chocolate, cookies, Chinese food, occassional Taco Bell). During the week, I'm a very good girl if you don't count the glass of wine every once in a while (ok, almost every night). On the weekends, I'm a little bit more flexible if I want to be. I used to work out....a lot. I played college volleyball. We worked out constantly and I kept that up after college, not 3+ times a day of course, but I did ok. Fast forward several years and then I had a baby. I worked out most of my pregnancy with the exception of the last month or so when I couldn't see nor touch my toes. After baby I was very good once I got the green light to go back to the gym and then by Memorial Day I had fallen completely off the wagon. Sad face. Between working full time and being a mom I couldn't find the balance. Working out was what I was willing to sacrifice. Not my job and of course not my baby. So I've put realistic expectations on myself for this year because last year I just did not. I gave myself an agenda I could never have kept up with, especially not with my child as my number one priority. Step One was realizing that I am not a college athlete anymore. Step Two was realizing I'm not 18-21 years old anymore (bummer). Step Three was realizing I am now a Mom and therefore my priorities are much different (and waaaaaaaaay better). I have 10 more pounds to lose to get back to my pre-preggers weight and then I would like to lose another 10 pounds and actually wear a bikini when I get to Mexico in June. My stomach is not horrible, but it is definitely NOT what it used to be. Right now, no belly shaking or showing for me. It's a work for the reward now. Work hard and rock it on the beach in a few months. You can do eeeeet (voice from Rob Schneider in Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo)!!! Small problem:

Ooops! I just couldn't help myself. It's Monday and I was kind of crabby so I went for it. It's amazing how much better I feel. See, told ya.....I'm only human.

Maybe I should just download my weight loss theme song. "She wore an itsy, bitsy, teeny, weeny..." (I really want it to be pink though).

I'm thinking this one:

One of my FB buddies has it and it's adorable!

Or maybe this one:Don't you love the fact that I included two pictures of supermodels in this post. I totally look like a combination of both of them by the way. I just refused VS' offer to be a model. I like commercial real estate so much better. Have a great week!

Lunch Manis

It's been a long and busy couple of weeks, filled with meetings, attorneys and other commercial real estate type fun. My assistant and I been going non stop and neither of us ever really take a full hour for lunch. Normally we eat right at our office and seldom leave the property. It's a bad habit. We know. So today, it's Friday and payday and we're taking a full hour. But we're not going to eat...we're going to go get manis. We deserve it! Yay us! Have a wonderful weekend!

Sleep.Work.Go.Go.Go.Repeat

There is definitely something lurking in the air. Many of the blogs I currently follow have covered the same or similar subject in the past week or so. Everyone seems to be running on fumes. There is little energy, hopefully just due to the lack of Vitamin D in everyone's life. I'm tired. Exhausted actually. Blah really. I'm not sure if it's the tease of the weather (springy and warm one day and cold and overcast the next) or my very own separate issues. I'm having a bit of a struggle right now (mid-mid life crisis?, geez I hope not). I feel like I go, go, go constantly every day. I get only a couple of hours with my daughter each night and it's just not enough. I stay up too late sometimes just because I don't want to go to bed and start over again. Then I'm tired because I stayed up too late on a "school" night. All I want is one moment to rest, relax and take a breath. I get up early and goooooooooooo...all day (have I mentioned this?). The daily, monotonous routine and that darn clock just keeps on a tickin.' Each day goes quicker than the last. Does anyone know how to stop that clock? Here's where my current struggle comes in (pity party warning). I am a working Momma, Monday thru Friday. I start at 5:30 am and typically don't stop until it's time to go to bed. Do not get me wrong, I am certainly blessed that we have a very loving family that takes wonderful care of our daughter while we both go out and try to bring home the bacon. Blessed, blessed, blessed. The relationships that she is creating with her family are going to build a forever bond with them and for that I am forever grateful. With all of that being said, there are days where I just look at my daughter and regret that I don't have the opportunity to stay home with her every day and watch her learn and grow. I come home to hear stories of what she did that day and some days I just feel like, well, check that off the list of another thing I missed. I'm jealous. I'll admit it, of women that are able to stay home with their kids, but I also believe in the "grass is always greener" ideal. I'm sure these Moms feel the same way. I'm jealous of Moms that are able to stay home to be with their children and not have to worry about daycare in order to bring another child into this world. I'm mad that I even have to worry about daycare. I don't think that anyone should be penalized financially for having children and working full time. The cost of daycare (good, quality daycare) is out of control (we'll save that blog topic for a rainy day, you're welcome). She is at such a fantastic age right now (the whole journey has been fantastic but the past few months have been amazing). She is learning so quickly, counting, talking, listening, communicating, responding, laughing, running, the list goes on and on. I feel like I am missing out. I don't just have to work (thank you student loans), I enjoy working. I'm successful and doing very well in my current position and it definitely keeps that sense of me that I see so many stay at home moms complain about losing. However, I feel like I am missing out on milestones. I had a lot of sad moments last year when I returned to work after my maternity leave as she would go to the Zoo, the Science Center, the pool and so many other fun St. Louis landmarks. I wanted to be the first one to take her to those places because I'm her Mom and that is what I am supposed to do right? I try to remind myself that balancing a career and motherhood is only going to make her a better person. She will grow to understand and appreciate the hard work that her Daddy and I put into our daily routine to ensure we provided the best environment for her. And on a side note, now, so many people that had babies around the same time as me are preggers again. I want another, not right now, but I definitely want another. It's scary, both financially and life balancey (nice word ay?). Can we handle it? I understand you are never financially ready for children. It's difficult to balance with two full time working parents and one child. Can we do two? Should we mess with our groove to provide a sibling for our daughter and provide Momma with one more pregnancy experience? Life is a working balancing act full of lessons and challenges. The biggest challenge of them all is being able to determine how you can make the most out of your life. I often get upset with myself for feeling the way I do because I have a great life. I shouldn't complain. I have a wonderful and healthy daughter, husband, family and friends, but I'm human and it's ok for me to feel the way that I do without feeling guilty about it right? The key is to focus on finding the best there is in every day and realizing that no matter what, life is good and we are all truly blessed. There will always be things that I will miss out on, but at the end of the day, seeing that little blond haired, blue eyed girl running towards me, with her arms opened wide, yelling out for me as if she has been yelling for me all day, makes every moment worth it and takes all the bad away. There is absolutely, without a doubt, no moment better then that.
